Description
Vestil is a 5th generation company, family-owned and operated in Angola, IN. Our products can be found online and in printed catalogs throught independent distributors and national accounts. Our national accounts include, but are not limited to: Amazon, Fastenal, Global Equipment, The Home Depot, MSC, Northern Tool + Equipment, Uline and W.W. Graninger. Vestil offers over 1,000 product lines.
Interns will work directly with their assigned Supervisor/Lead Team, with additional instruction from senior coworkers. The Welding Manager and EHS Manager will also work with them throughout their internship. The learning goals are included in the responsibilities section.

Help students explore career pathways in welding, fabrication, and related skilled trades.
Responsibilities
- Examine blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements for layouts and procedures.
- Determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on project requirements.
- Build units by welding to quality specifications; making sure of squaring, levelness and plumb.
- Must remove BB’s and sharp edges from finished product using hand tools; sander, putty knifes, chisel and hammer.
- Inspect finish products against engineering specifications.
- Weld components using manual or semiautomatic equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- Make necessary adjustments to welder if deviations are detected.
- Maintain welding equipment and perform routine maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
Enrolled in School Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, , Vocational, Career Development or similar school program.
