Description
Our focus is on building soft skills and laying the foundation for creative problem solving and technical training. Guided by the Grain is Individualized and run by trauma informed staff. Through the program, young people are employed by Deeply Ingrained. We expect them to dress appropriately, clock in and out on time, figure out how to get to and from work, and mantain passing grades.
We ensure basic needs are met by working with partner organizations such as the Perry Township Food pantry you can see with one our kiddos here. We provide opportunities for career exploration and academic assistance.
We expect our participants to have improved self-image, stronger connection to purpose, passing grades, and increased employability.
Any training required for the job will be provided by Deeply Ingrained.
Responsibilities
Work responsibilities will mirror courseload. While working towards an associates in business, interns will be involved in the day to day accounting, finance and planning at a small nonprofit.
Interns will be expected to dress appropriately, arrive on time, communicate clearly and complete assigned tasks. Additional opportunities exist in program management, personel supervision, strategic planning and other aspects of running a small nonprofit.
Qualifications
High school diploma. College acceptance.
