Finance & Accounting Intern - Summer 2026 at Ruoff Mortgage

Ruoff Mortgage is seeking a motivated Finance & Accounting Intern for Summer 2026. Our internship program runs from Wednesday, May 20th - Friday, August 7th. This role provides hands-on experience working with seasoned accounting professionals and contributing to a variety of departmental projects. The intern will support the Finance & Accounting team with daily operations, reporting tasks, and special projects throughout the summer.

Responsibilities

Utilize accounting software to support workflows and maintain accurate financial records.
Assist with month-end reporting and preparation of financial statements.
Prepare and post journal entries.
Support the development of internal and external management reports.
Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
Participate in audit preparation and related tasks.
Assist with semi-monthly payroll processes.
Perform data entry with accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive personal or financial information.
Perform general administrative or department support tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
