Fine Arts / Music Department Intern

Liberty Perry School Corporation is seeking a high school intern to assist the Fine Arts/Music Department. This position provides hands-on experience in arts education, event preparation, and departmental organization. The ideal candidate is a student with an interest in the arts, strong responsibility, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

* Assist teachers with classroom and rehearsal setup and breakdown.

* Help organize instruments, music materials, costumes, or art supplies.

* Support preparation for concerts, performances, exhibitions, and events.

* Assist with day-to-day departmental needs.

* Help maintain departmental supplies and equipment.

* Attend and assist during performances or department activities as assigned for responsibilities such as, but not limited to: audio, visual, lighting, stage direction, backstage direction, management of resources.

* Provide pre-production engagment via social media and marketing.

* Act as a spokesperson for the department to the greater school community.

* Assist with other duties as assigned by the Fine Arts or Music Department staff. 

Qualifications

* Interest in music, visual arts, or performing arts.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully.

* Willingness to follow instructions and work collaboratively.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks in an active classroom environment.

* Must demonstrate professional conduct and reliable attendance.
