Accounting Intern - Spring 2026

Immediate job opening for a Part-time Tax & Accounting Assistant (24-30 hours per week) to work in a small, family-owned accounting & tax firm.  This role will support our Tax Accountants with the Tax Preparation process for the 2026 Tax Season.  Ideal candidate has a minimum of 1-3 years office experience, a pro-active “can do” attitude, some data entry and bookkeeping experience, an understanding of professionalism, and works well in a fast-paced environment.

The position is seasonal for the 2026 tax season, running from approximately February 2, 2026 through May 29, 2026.  However, if the candidate demonstrates strong skills, there is a possibility for the position to transition into a long-term assignment beyond the tax season.  Work week will take place Mondays through Fridays on a part-time basis.).

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities (order of importance)

• Scan tax documents and review data import in tax software
• Review tax returns once completed
• Bookkeeping (using QuickBooks software)
• Special office projects

Qualifications

Minimum of 1-3 years office experience

Pro-active “can do” attitude

Data entry and some bookkeeping experience

A strong team player
