Description

The Operations Intern will support Thrive Orthopedics’ operations team with day-to-day activities related to AFO products, inventory, shipments, and returns. This role provides real-world experience in supply chain operations, quality control, and customer fulfillment—helping ensure products move efficiently from warehouse to final customer.

The intern will work directly with live operational data and collaborate closely with the team to support timely deliveries, accurate inventory, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with inventory management, including counts, receiving, and organization of AFO products and accessories

    • Support order fulfillment to ensure products ship accurately and reach the final customer on time

    • Track inbound and outbound shipments and help resolve delivery issues

    • Assist with processing returns, exchanges, and product inspections

    • Help prepare documentation for returned or defective products (including support for credit memos)

    • Participate in quality control and incoming inspections

    • Maintain accurate product and inventory data in internal systems

    • Support daily warehouse and operational tasks as needed

    • Collaborate with finance and operations teams on inventory-related activities

    • Help identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

  • Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    • Comfortable working with physical inventory and operational systems

    • Basic proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets

    • Interest in operations, supply chain, or healthcare devices

    • Ability to work with confidential company information

    • Self-motivated and team-oriented
