Child Care Aide

Description

The Golay Community Center is a non-profit organization that dedicates itself to developing and providing quality recreational, educational, and fellowship opportunities to the people of Western Wayne County and its surrounding areas. Interns will work alongside our Programs Director and Super Summer Fun Camp Director to gain hands-on experience on planning and structuring activities for children aged 5-12.  The position is perfect for anyone who is going into the teaching field or a field where they work with children. By Summer's end, Child Care Aides will gain a lot of experience and exposure to work. 

Responsibilities

Interns will work on planning, scheduling, and creating activities, crafts, and games to entertain children during their scheduled shift. They will have to relay what supplies are needed for the activities to the Camp Director and/or the Programs Director. They will need to be able to relay messages to parents, as well as kids. In the event discipline action is needed, they will be responsible, alongside the Camp Director or the Programs Director, to come up with a solution.
