GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Burmese American Community Institute (BACI) is a dynamic, forward-looking, and growing organization. We seek well-qualified, highly motivated, creative, and solutions-oriented candidates to join us. This position participates and assists with coordination activities of staff, convention personnel, or clients to make arrangements for group meetings, events, or conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing events and meetings.

  • Support the coordination of event logistics, including venue arrangements, transportation, accommodation, catering, and signage.

  • Help manage event registration and participant communications.

  • Work with event staff and venue teams to ensure event spaces meet required setup and capacity needs.

  • Assist in arranging audio-visual equipment, displays, and other materials needed for events.

  • Monitor event activities to ensure participant satisfaction and help resolve issues during events.

  • Help coordinate with vendors, service providers, and suppliers such as hotels and event facilities.

  • Support the preparation of event programs, agendas, and schedules.

  • Assist with maintaining records related to event planning, budgets, and expenses.

  • Review invoices and help track event-related payments.

  • Contribute to event promotion and outreach efforts, including marketing and publicity support.

  • Participate in post-event evaluations and help prepare reports with recommendations for future improvements.

  • Assist in communicating with sponsors, speakers, and partners as needed.
