Description
The intern will apply knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles to create electronic assemblies according to drawing specifications. The Electronics Technician Intern will be provided training with mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of engineering.
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with assembling electronic components and circuit boards
- Support basic soldering, wiring, and cable assembly following work instructions
- Help inspect and test electronic and mechanical assemblies to ensure quality standards are met
- Learn to identify components and follow assembly drawings and schematics
- Accurately document work completed and follow quality control procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
- Properly handle tools, components, and electronic equipment
Qualifications
- Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and communications skills.
- Self-motivated to work autonomously and with direct supervision.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- Troubleshoot and repair of electronic assemblies
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic theories and principals
- Knowledge of test equipment (DMM, Oscilloscope, Power supply, Signal generator)
- Ability to read technical drawings (Schematic, Parts list, Assembly drawings)
- Ability to construct and follow testing procedures
