Description

The intern will apply knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles to create electronic assemblies according to drawing specifications. The Electronics Technician Intern will be provided training with mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with assembling electronic components and circuit boards
• Support basic soldering, wiring, and cable assembly following work instructions
• Help inspect and test electronic and mechanical assemblies to ensure quality standards are met
• Learn to identify components and follow assembly drawings and schematics
• Accurately document work completed and follow quality control procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
• Properly handle tools, components, and electronic equipment

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and communications skills.
• Self-motivated to work autonomously and with direct supervision.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
• Troubleshoot and repair of electronic assemblies
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic theories and principals
• Knowledge of test equipment (DMM, Oscilloscope, Power supply, Signal generator)
• Ability to read technical drawings (Schematic, Parts list, Assembly drawings)
• Ability to construct and follow testing procedures
