SUMMARY
This role will give you hands‑on experience creating marketing and communications materials that amplify CEDIA’s mission and events. As a member of the marketing team, you will work closely with multiple departments, such as membership and education, to design digital and print assets that align with our brand, engage members and promote our programs.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
Design marketing assets: Assist in the creation of digital and print marketing materials such as event signage, flyers, social media graphics, email headers, infographics and presentations.
Support social media campaigns: Produce engaging visual assets tailored for multiple platforms while staying current with social media and design trends.
Photo and video editing: Assist with photo editing for digital and print materials and contribute to basic short-form video editing for promotional use.
Update and produce graphic identity elements specific to CEDIA’s design guidelines and core values to maintain brand consistency.
Organize, archive and catalog graphic design elements for future projects.
Provide general support to the marketing and creative teams as needed.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS
Software proficiency: Comfortable working on both Mac and PC platforms. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva. Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
Social media knowledge: Understanding of social media platforms and tools with the ability to design content that resonates with current social‑media trends.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable collaborating with crossfunctional teams and receptive to feedback.
Enthusiastic, wellorganized, proactive and able to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Ability to interpret project direction and translate marketing objectives into creative designs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing or a related field.
Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity ability to demonstrate varied typography, color theory and design principles.
