Citizens State bank is looking for driven, hard working students interesting in a career in Banking!
Position Overview:
Jump-start a career in the field of banking! This internship will offer hands-on experience and an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of banking. The internship is a two-year program starting your Junior year of HS and completed at graduation with an Honorary Diploma and a certification in Banking. You will experience all areas of the community banking environment: front line, operations, marketing, lending, compliance. You will work alongside experienced bankers who can offer insights to help you better understand the financial services industry. You will work for a company that values growth and opportunities and building better communities.
Responsibilities
Primary Objectives:
- Learn personal banking transactions and bank regulations
- Explore the Indiana banking industry and the career options through resources provided within the bank.
- Increase the ability to function as an effective employee of the bank.
- Develop superior customer service experiences through firsthand knowledge of the bank processes.
- Gain understanding of how local banks impact their communities and the local economy.
- Offer a wide range of learning opportunities and work-related banking experience while rotating through departments.
- Complete various work case scenarios and department projects
- Responsible for regular interaction with assigned mentor.
- Combines hands on experience with an online curriculum to ensure students gain proficiency
- Will complete a final project and learning assessment
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Must be entering your junior year of High School and commit to the 2 year program
- Have at least a cumulative 3.5 GPA.
- Major in a business – related field such as Economics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, IT or General Business.
- Must demonstrate these core competencies: Hard working, Humble, Collaborative, Curious, Service driven and supportive of co-workers and communities we serve.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to take initiative.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online-banking services is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and learn quickly
