Citizens State bank is looking for driven, hard working students interesting in a career in Banking!

Position Overview:
Jump-start a career in the field of banking! This internship will offer hands-on experience and an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of banking. The internship experience will include a 10-12 week period where you learn Personal Banking then will float to other departments learning various functions of each department within the bank, designed to gain better understanding of the overall banking environment. You will work alongside experienced bankers who can offer insights to help you better understand the financial services industry. Consistently delivers an experience that leaves customers with a positive emotional impression of the bank, its employees and products & services.  Responds to sales opportunities using the delivered sales presentation model.

Responsibilities

Primary Objectives:

• Learn personal banking transactions and bank regulations
• Explores the Indiana banking industry and the career options through resources provided within the bank.
• Increases the ability to function as an effective employee of the bank.
• Develops customer service experiences through firsthand knowledge of the bank processes.
• Gains understanding of how local banks impact their communities and the local economy.
• Offered a wide range of learning opportunities and work-related banking experience while rotating some departments.
• Complete various department projects if time permits
• Responsible for regular interaction with assigned mentor.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Students entering Senior year of High School
• Have at least a cumulative 3.5 GPA.
• Major in a business – related field such as Economics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, IT or General Business.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to take initiative.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online-banking services is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and learn quickly
• Protect sensitive customer information
