We are a Construction Management/General Construction company. Interns will job shadow all departments under supervision, estimating, project management, project coordination, shop, and in field/on jobsites. 

 

Responsibilities

The goal of FCI's internship program is to provide a comprehensive experience for the intern on all aspects of the work FCI performs. As a full service Construction Management firm FCI has a pre-construction team, a project management team, a field team, and a safety team. Our goal is for the intern to spend time with each team learning what they do and participating in those duties. For the Pre-Construction team they will assist in estimating, budgeting, project scope reviews, and reading drawings/specifications. For the Construction team they will help review the project scope, contact and monitor subcontractor work, review actual costs, and track schedules. For the field team they will actively participate in field activities including carpentry, concrete, and laborer duties. For the safety team they will review jobsite safety procedures and assure they are met and complete jobsite safety inspections to be reviewed and coached by the Safety Manager. At the completion of their internship they should have a comprehensive understanding of all facets of the Construction Management process at FCI.

Qualifications

Basic data entry skills. What they don't know can be taught.
