Transportation/Maintenance Crew Leader

Description

Transportation/Maintenance crew leading in the areas of detailing and possibly some technological aspects of the job. They will be responsible for cleaning, washing, waxing and minor maintenance of buses. Paint and Strip parking Lots. Clean out and reset locker combinations. Sort, fold and mail various notices and letters to parents as needed. Will do some miscellaneous jobs as needed throughout the summer. Also helps with the registration process for the new school year. 

Responsibilities

The Transportation/Maintenance Crew Leader will give the opportunity for the student to work alongside of our Maintenance Director and Custodial staff on a daily basis. They will be involved with hands on experience in lite maintenance of buses (cleaning, inspecting for body and mechanical issues, checking fluids, tires, belts etc.) They will also be getting experience working with a small group of other students and learning the responsibilities of being a crew leader. The position requires a certain amount of work be done in a certain time frame, therefore they will be learning time management skills. They will be required to help out in some outside work and help with the registration process before the beginning of school. This will help development the mindset that sometimes your job requires that you help out wherever and whenever needed. The registration process will help with the developing of HR skills as they will be working with many staff members from both the High School and Elementary School and with parents registering their students.

Qualifications

Current College Student, must be self motivated and reliable. Must work independently and as a team member. Have excellent communication skills and customer rapport.
