Description
Working onsite in the Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum, welcoming visitors and assisting the director and the board of directors with summer projects and programs. Approx. 20 to 25 hours per week from May to August.
Responsibilities
Assist with the design and set-up of display cases. Digitize and scan historical photos for Indiana Memory. Catalog inventory. Research historical people, homes and events for future programs. Greet museum patrons and assist with answering questions. Some additional daily tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Intern should have a flexible schedule.
- Dress appropriately to greet the public.
- Be friendly and able to engage in conversation with others.
- Enjoy working with children, teens and adults.
- Qualifies for state student work study (EARN).
