Position Overview:
Petry Excavating, Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated part-time intern to assist with daily administrative and accounting-related tasks in our growing business. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to business operations, basic accounting practices, and professional office procedures in a supportive and supervised environment.

Responsibilities
- Scan, organize, and electronically file company documents
- Assist with financial record keeping and basic data entry
- Review and audit financial records for accuracy and compliance under supervision
- Verify and reconcile monthly vendor statements
- Organize invoices, receipts, and supporting accounting documentation
- Assist with maintaining organized project and job-related records
- Perform general office administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and document preparation
- Provide support to office staff with special projects as needed
- Limited exposure to project management and job cost documentation
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in high school
- Interest in business, accounting, construction management, or office administration
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar)
- Ability to follow instructions and handle confidential information responsibly
- Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Reliable transportation to and from the office.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
