Description
We are a 142-child daycare center and early learning facility. The candidate will receive 49+ hours of on the job training to strengthen skills linked to childcare/child development/early education. Working with a teacher mentor, you will be responsible for the care and guidance, as well as educational tasks for children age 3 and up. Learning goals include learning how to manage professionalism, attendance, interpersonal relationships, and communication.
Responsibilities
The learner will work weekly with their teacher mentor to prepare lessons and activities that support the early learning child.
They will be responsible for helping manage small or large groups of young children, hands-on activities, and engaging in play with children indoors and outdoors.
Additionally there will be required training for licensing and health & safety, including CPR and food related programs.
Qualifications
Experience with computer applications such as Google Docs is helpful, as well as communication skills with phone and internet use. We will train you for on the job programs, documents, and timekeeping measures.

Learning objectives would include, but not limited to: working toward being a professional in the workplace, maintaining attendance, communication with peers, collaboration with peers, and effective classroom management.
