Description
The School Age Lead Teacher is responsible for collaborating with the Director for planning and implementing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate program for children ages 5–12. This position provides leadership within the classroom, supervises daily activities, supports children's social-emotional growth, maintains positive relationships with families, and ensures compliance with all licensing and program requirements. The School Age Lead Teacher creates enriching experiences that promote learning, independence, and fun while fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all children.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities and learning experiences.
- Promote positive behavior and social-emotional development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with families and staff.
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety requirements.
- Maintain attendance and required documentation.
Qualifications
Individuals must be willing to obtain a CPR certification upon starting and complete the required Indiana licensing mandated training (both are paid for by the company)
