MRLM Home Health Care Inc. provides compassionate, high-quality home care services that help seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and other clients maintain independence and quality of life in their homes.


Internship Experience

Interns will gain hands-on experience in healthcare administration, marketing, community outreach, and office operations. They will work directly with the Agency Administrator and office staff, receiving training, supervision, and mentorship throughout the internship.


Learning Goals

By the end of the internship, learners will:

  1. Understand the fundamentals of home health care operations.
  2. Develop professional communication and administrative skills.
  3. Gain experience in marketing and community outreach.
  4. Strengthen teamwork, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  5. Build career readiness through real-world healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

The intern will work on meaningful projects that provide exposure to healthcare administration, marketing, and community engagement rather than routine office support. Responsibilities may include:

  1. Developing and managing social media campaigns to increase community awareness of home health services.
  2. Researching healthcare trends, community resources, and potential partnership opportunities.
  3. Assisting with outreach initiatives to hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and community organizations.
  4. Creating marketing materials, educational resources, and promotional content.
  5. Supporting quality improvement and client satisfaction projects through data collection and analysis.
  6. Participating in special projects related to veteran services, senior care, and community health initiatives.
  7. Preparing weekly reports and presentations summarizing project outcomes and recommendations.


Administrative tasks such as filing, copying, scheduling, and data entry will be limited and used primarily to support learning objectives, comprising less than 25% of the internship experience.

Qualifications

  1. Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field.
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  4. Interest in healthcare, community outreach, marketing, or nonprofit services.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  7. Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take initiative.

No prior healthcare or professional work experience is required. Training and mentorship will be provided.
