The Future Educator will provide academic support/assistance to students and assist certified staff in planning and carrying out daily lessons and activities, including small group enrichment.
The right candidate will have effective language skills; positive attitude; and high levels of professionalism including dress, critical thinking, creativity, self-analysis, commitment, motivation and enthusiasm.
Responsibilities
Provide one on one and group instruction for students requiring academic, social, and emotional help or to ensure mastery of a subject.
- Assist certified staff by preparing learning tools and materials for students and for the classroom. May assist with clerical duties such as data entry, copying, tracking attendance, etc.
- May assist physically involved students in daily needs and assist students in the regular classroom and modify to their capability and/or need.
- Attend staff meetings and professional training related to duties of paraprofessional positions as assigned by the Learning Services Department, Exceptional Student Services or school principal.
