The Future Educator will provide academic support/assistance to students and assist certified staff in planning and carrying out daily lessons and activities, including small group enrichment.

The right candidate will have effective language skills; positive attitude; and high levels of professionalism including dress, critical thinking, creativity, self-analysis, commitment, motivation and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

Provide one on one and group instruction for students requiring academic, social, and emotional help or to ensure mastery of a subject.

1. Assist certified staff by preparing learning tools and materials for students and for the classroom. May assist with clerical duties such as data entry, copying, tracking attendance, etc.

1. May assist physically involved students in daily needs and assist students in the regular classroom and modify to their capability and/or need.

1. Attend staff meetings and professional training related to duties of paraprofessional positions as assigned by the Learning Services Department, Exceptional Student Services or school principal.
