The Civil Engineering Internship focuses on assisting the civil engineering team. This position will assist with due diligence, plan reviews, and become knowledgeable on construction practices. This position will be immersed in researching ordinances, and assisting to help ensure we are compliant on projects. Our primary needs for a Civil Engineering Intern is to assist and provide support the entire Civil Engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in researching codes, ordinances, and maps to help identify conditions that may affect the development of projects
• Analyzing data.
• Gathering information. 
• Interacting with and collecting data from appropriate people as well as large databases of information. 
• To gain a comprehensive understanding of civil engineering within the multifamily industry. 
• Research stormwater management ordinances. 
• Research and read utility maps, historical drawings and surveys. 
• Assist with reviewing construction plans. 
• Assist with creating and maintaining reference details
• Support the entire civil engineering department as needs arise.

Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team of professionals.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in civil engineering or some other relevant field. 
• Skills and experience with marketing, public speaking, and presentations are a plus.
• Positive attitude.
