Description

Join our mission-driven team and gain hands-on experience in payroll operations within a non-profit setting. This internship offers the opportunity to develop technical skills, enhance financial acumen, and contribute to meaningful work that positively impacts the community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing bi-weekly/weekly payroll for staff and volunteers.

  • Review and verify employee timecards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.

  • Support the maintenance of payroll records, including tax filings, benefits deductions, and direct deposit information.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to prepare payroll reports and summaries.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.

  • Provide support during audits and payroll reconciliations.

  • Assist in onboarding tasks related to payroll setup for new employees or volunteers.

  • Research and implement best practices for payroll processes and non-profit compliance.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Interest in non-profit management or human resources or finance is a plus.
