Public Health Connect is a consulting and community-building firm based in Indianapolis that supports nonprofits, small businesses, and community organizations in grant strategy, government affairs, and health equity initiatives. We are seeking an Executive & Program Assistant Intern to provide support across a range of projects, gaining valuable experience in nonprofit operations, event coordination, and client services.
The Assistant Intern will work closely with the CEO and project managers to help keep projects on track, communications flowing, and client deliverables organized. This role is ideal for a student interested in nonprofit management, business operations, or public affairs who wants to strengthen organizational and professional skills in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Supervision & Mentorship:
Interns will be supervised by the CEO, with weekly one-on-one check-ins and mentorship opportunities. They will also collaborate with our consulting staff and other interns.

Strengthen professional skills in communication, scheduling, and project coordination.

Learn how nonprofit consulting firms operate and support multiple client needs.

Gain exposure to public health, government affairs, and grant writing projects.

Build confidence in administrative and professional workplace tools.
Responsibilities

Provide administrative support including scheduling, meeting prep, and note-taking.

Assist with email and calendar management.

Support event logistics, including vendor communication and registration tracking.

Organize and maintain digital files and records.

Help prepare documents, presentations, and reports for client and internal use.

Support interns and project teams with coordination tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Undergraduate or graduate student in Business, Nonprofit Management, Public Affairs, Communications, or a related field.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information.
