Creative Programming Social Media & Marketing Director Paint-your-own Pottery Studio Internship

Fired Arts Studio is a paint-your-own pottery and canvas painting studio located in Kokomo, IN. We are seeking a motivated Marketing & Social Media Intern to work closely with our store manager in promoting the studio and building community engagement.    The intern will gain hands-on experience in social media management, brand promotion, and event marketing while learning how to create and analyze digital content, coordinate community partnerships, and maintain a creative programming calendar. This role will strengthen skills in communication, design, and customer engagement while providing real-world insight into marketing and brand management for a small business.

Responsibilities

The Marketing & Social Media Intern for Fired Arts Studio will work directly with the store manager and owner to:

• Manage and grow the studio’s social media and website platforms through creative content, regular posting, and community engagement.

• Develop and maintain the monthly creative programming calendar, including classes, workshops, and special events.

• Coordinate and implement advertising and marketing campaigns across print, digital, and local channels.

• Serve as a brand ambassador by attending major studio events, engaging with guests, and promoting the studio’s offerings.

• Build relationships with the downtown association, small business councils, and other community partners to increase visibility and collaboration.

• Track marketing performance and compile resources for future promotions and programming.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be creative in nature with a well-organized demeanor.  Event planning, teaching, management, and business organization are all skills that would be beneficial for this position. Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, instagram and wix are bonus points.  The candidate must be willing to be on-site for 50% of the internship period, the remaining time can be utilized from a remote work location.  Canidadate must utilze their own lap top computer for work and have valid transportation.  Mileage reimbursement will occur for work-related travel.  This position will work directly with owner & manager of a local paint your own pottery studio to develop seasonal and on-going programs for the storefront.
