We are seeking a motivated Sales Intern to support our client acquisition efforts in this early-stage business. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate interested in B2B sales, healthcare logistics, or entrepreneurship to gain hands-on experience in a small, dynamic startup.
- Part-time (10–25 hours/week, flexible schedule)
- Hourly wage (academic credit eligible; potential for commission on closed deals)
- Duration: 3–6 months (with possibility of extension or full-time role based on performance)
- Location: Remote/hybrid (based in Indiana preferred for occasional in-person networking)
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, including local hospitals, clinics, labs, pharmacies, and medical suppliers.
- Build and maintain lead lists using tools like LinkedIn, Google searches, local directories, industry databases, and CRM tools.
- Assist in outbound prospecting: cold calling, emailing, and LinkedIn messaging to introduce our services and schedule introductory meetings.
- Support digital marketing efforts, such as optimizing our website SEO for terms like "medical courier Indiana, "managing social media posts (LinkedIn for B2B, Facebook/Nextdoor for residential), and creating simple content or email campaigns.
- Help prepare sales materials, including pitches, proposals, and promotional offers (e.g., introductory discounts).
- Participate in networking activities, such as virtual or in-person outreach to healthcare events or local business groups.
- Track leads and activities in a simple CRM (e.g., Google Sheets or free tools initially) and prepare basic sales reports.
- Assist the owner/manager with administrative tasks related to sales, such as following up on inquiries and coordinating client onboarding.
- Contribute ideas for partnerships and growth strategies in medical delivery segments.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in sales, entrepreneurship, and the healthcare/logistics industry.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a professional, enthusiastic demeanor.
- Comfortable with cold outreach (calls/emails) and handling rejection.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a startup environment.
- Basic proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, and social media.
- Access to reliable transportation (preferred for local networking).
- Knowledge of HIPAA or medical compliance is a plus, but not required (training provided).
