Description
The Data Specialist intern will be responsible for providing support to effectively manage a Salesforce client management database for Little Red Door Cancer Agency. The position will execute data entry and cleanup projects, modify database structure, and provide administrative support as identified by the Development Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
- Research and implement best practices for a Salesforce CRM environment.
- Donation processing and generation of acknowledgment letters.
- Work to continually improve data quality and integrity through various clean-up projects.
- Assist with data entry related to Face of Hope Breakfast, Cancer Survivor's Day, and other fundraising events.
- Research potential individual, corporate, and foundation funders.
- Develop standard operating procedures related to database functions.
- Assist in implementation of various projects as assigned by Development Operations Manager.
- Create reports and analyze data as needs are identified.
- Represent organization at outreach events, community events and fundraising events as needed.
Qualifications
- Complete tasks in an effective and efficient manner.
- Excellent organizational, written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Ability to maintain databases.
- Ability to work well and collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to passionately embrace the mission of Little Red Door Cancer Agency.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and mail merges.
Learning Objectives
The learner will gain hands-on experience working within a professional CRM environment, specifically Salesforce, while supporting real-world nonprofit fundraising and client data operations. Learning objectives include developing skills in data management, reporting, database integrity, donor and event support processes, and CRM best practices. The learner will also gain exposure to nonprofit development operations, documentation procedures, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities and projects will scale based on the learner’s prior coursework, technical experience, and professional interests, allowing opportunities to build both technical and analytical skills applicable across many industries and CRM platforms.
