Indiana Intern Day had 104 unique organizations make the pledge to recognize Indiana’s interns and work-based learning programs! The day saw lots of kudos, plenty of snacks, and many social media posts. Check out some of this year’s highlights below!
E-Gineering
Interns presented the projects they worked on during a company-wide luncheon to showcase their growth, creativity, and impact. To make the event even more special, interns’ families were invited to join the occasion. The day concluded with cake, photos, and plenty of recognition!

East Chicago Public Library
The East Chicago Public Library gave their interns food and goodie bags for Indiana Intern Day! They had supervisors share stories of their experiences with the interns, and interns get the opportunity to elaborate on their internships.

Envelop Group
Envelop Group has been celebrating their interns all summer long, highlighting each of them and their contributions across their organization. They hosted a company-wide breakfast, and each intern gave an exit presentation sharing what they learned and their future plans.
Haynes International
Haynes International hosted an event for their interns with snacks and company swag. Leading up to the day, they had a company-wide intern open house attended by many corporate and local manufacturing employees!

Indiana Commission for Higher Education
Our partners at the Indiana Commission for Higher Education had their interns start the day with their end of internship presentations to internal staff, where they practiced their public speaking skills, discussed their work, and highlight what they learned. Interns had lunch with staff and enjoyed some celebratory treats!

Indiana State University
Indiana State University recognized many different students with internships on their social media during the day.

Indiana University Kokomo
Indiana University Kokomo featured two of their students making huge strides in their careers through internship experiences, Jordyn Danner and Dre’Veon Lewis. They interned at the university’s Office of University Advancement and Media and Marketing.

The International Center
The International Center invited former interns to join their current cohort to network and hear about the impact their efforts have had on the organization over coffee and pastries. Institute for Workforce Excellence staff member Anna Meer also stopped by for the day’s celebration!

Milliman
Milliman hosted a farewell breakfast to wrap up their interns’ experience. The event featured shout-outs from members of their team, and had some friendly competition and games too!
