Responsibilities

LAU Social Industry is currently offering one unpaid internship opportunity to assist staff with our website and social media outlets.  Details include:  Summer, approximately June through August.  Flexible calendar dependent on the Intern's schedule.  This will be a virtual Internship supervised by the Executive Director and Communications Director.  The Intern will be responsible for their own computer and access to WIFI.  A collaborative work environment and mentoring relationship offered.

Assist in managing and maintaining our website and social media with daily/weekly updates.  Help with marketing our organization and services through social media.  The best candidate will have a working knowledge of social media outlets and how to best use them to bring more awareness to our organization.

Candidate will have the opportunity to learn:  business development and community outreach skills; marketing and advertising skills for a not for profit organization; experience networking and future business opportunities and gain experience in working with diverse populations.

Qualifications

Collaboration and coordination across people and groups; organization and attention to details; marketing and communications strategy development; idea expression, both verbal and written; technology, with preference to social media, and a customer service mindset.  Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects is a must.
