The Role

As a Peterman Brothers Human Resources Intern, you will be the backbone of the HR team! Our interns directly support the Human Resources and Recruiting department, analyze, assist, and report on projects, and collaborate with a team of peers to propose solutions to current business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage SOP creation and branding for HR procedures
  • Develop a full understanding of job hazard analysis  
  • Research and introduce strategies to improve employee engagement and DE&I measures to HR leadership for implementation across all departments
  • Contribute to the development of action plans based on analyzing and summarizing feedback
  • Collect and monitor compliance documents  
  • Perform audits to employee records
  • Support the onboarding process for New Hire Orientation classes
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Education – Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, or other applicable fields  
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Ability to multi-task and adapt
    • Excellent communication and people skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams & PowerPoint)
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspect of job responsibilities
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Committed to learning and growth
