The Position:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Human Resources team as an Intern. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of HR functions within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As an HR Intern, you will have the chance to support our HR team in recruitment efforts, employee engagement initiatives, data analysis, and general administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

The Duties:

  • Assist with the recruitment process by scheduling interviews and prescreening candidates.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials, assisting managers with new hire onboarding schedules and conducting new hire surveys.
  • Aid in the maintenance of employee records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Contribute to employee engagement activities and events, such as organizing team-building activities, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including filing, data entry, and responding to inquiries from employees and managers.
  • Assist with company orientation for team leads and creating welcome boxes.
  • Keep track of team lead overtime and provide guidance to leadership.
  • Create and execute team lead pulse surveys with guidance from Associate Director of External HR.
  • Support Internal and External Associate Directors of HR with various HR projects as needed.
  • Assist in employee investigations.
  • Provide support for HR training.
  • Assist with maintaining and managing employee files and records.
  • Research and assists in process improvement for HR procedures in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Supports the Morales experience; be present, delivers our very best and understand and exceed the expectations of the individuals we serve.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all employee’s information to assure employee rights are protected.
  • Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
  • Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
  • Lives out our Mission and Core Values daily.
  • Follows departmental and company Health, Safety, Security, Hazardous Materials policies and procedures.

Qualifications

The Qualities:

Interest in Human Resources: Genuine interest in learning about various aspects of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and compliance.

Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with a diverse range of people including employees, managers, and external partners.

Confidentiality: Understanding the importance of maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information related to employee records, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.

Interpersonal Skills: Capability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with colleagues at all levels within the organization.
