2026 Summer Youth Operations Intern

TSC is a non-profit organization that engages youth in STEM principles through accessible, STEM careers. TSC offers experiential STEM programming for youth both in person and partners, we deliver award-winning, relevant services that empower and impact youth for accessible organization.

Responsibilities

-Assist in the general management of The STEM Connection and its physical space, including, but not limited to: maintaining safe and functional spaces for children and adults of varying physical and cognitive abilities, using creative and innovative problem-solving techniques, maintaining clear and respectful communication with staff, participants, and families

-Help organize, collect, prepare, inventory, and manage materials for summer programming and STEM Kits

-Participate in wildlife and habitat conservation and sustainability practices aligned with TSC’s core values (We take care of ourselves, others, and our earth.)

-Contribute to the overall success of TSC’s mission and vision by performing other duties as assigned.

-Duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to complete tasks in a professional, effective, and efficient manner
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and also independently
• Driven, patient, and hard-working
• Coachable, flexible, and proactive in anticipating needs and solving problems
• Desire to move the mission and vision of TSC forward 
• Ability to work full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm), the end of May through the middle of August 2026 (off July 5-July 10)
• Studying or experience in education, school counseling, social work, psychology, youth development, STEM, or a similar field
• Experience working with youth is a plus.
• Successful completion of a background check and TSC onboarding and required training (CPR, Safeguarding Youth, and other role-specific training)
• Experience with or ability to learn Google applications (Drive, Docs, Slides, etc.)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
