Position Overview:  

The Dometic Internship Program is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of study or career interest. Our program gives students the opportunity to collaborate with team members, to have a meaningful project that allows you to have impact, career exploration and development, to learn new skills, and get to know other interns.   

HR Rotational opportunity to gain experience in all areas of HR Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and build workflows within the HRIS system
  • Build templates and execute the creation of compensation statements

Communication

Assist with updating collateral that contains our Core Values

    • Collaborate with marketing to create a “position spotlight”
    • Collaborate with marketing to create a “new hire spotlight”
  • Compensation
    • Comp model updates (will need good excel skills)
    • Basic market analysis overflow
    • Paylocity updates (including pay grade)
    • Job description inventory
    • Research projects (trends/best practices)
  • Benefits
    • Reporting (billing, new hire, etc.)
    • COBRA review and controls
    • Disability hours reconciliation (Paylocity vs. LFG)
    • Pension documentation (form letters, templates, checklists)
    • Documentation
  • HRIS/Payroll
    • HRIS projects (Templates, increased automation and Utilization)
    • Documentation (standardization, SOPs, checklists)

Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in a college or university seeking a degree. The following programs are preferred: Human Resources, Business, Communication, or related
  • At least 2 years of college with classwork in related field
  • Microsoft office skills required, with an above average Microsoft Excel competencies
