Description
Position Summary:
The Business Continuity Intern will gain experience in the business continuity field by providing support to the vendor and risk management team. This position will assist with a variety of special projects and support functions designed to achieve the overall strategic objectives of the Risk Management department.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Partner with each business unit to identify critical business processes
- Obtain current documented procedures for each critical process
- Determining workaround if key systems are down
- Begin working on updated Business Impact Analysis (BIA) for each critical process
- Identifying and establishing contingency plans with departments
Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- Organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Accuracy in data entry and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word)
- Critical thinking skills
- Accountable for maintaining the strictest of confidentiality
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Currently attending a college or university and have taken the intermediate level courses typically in the third year of study.
- Pursuit of degree in Business preferred.
