Holidays are a reminder to be thankful for internships

This is a guest blog by Macy Gentry, HR Intern at Milliner & Associates in Indianapolis and Marian College student.

As the holidays are quickly approaching, I am constantly being asked what I am thankful for. Every year I have always said I am thankful for my friends, my family and my health. My friends and family have always been my biggest support system, but this year I have a few more people to add to my list of supporters.

My time at Milliner & Associates (M&A) has been truly amazing the past few months, and I cannot explain how truly thankful I am for having been given this opportunity. Last week I was able to attend my first career fair. It was one of the most fun, interesting, insightful real-business experiences I have ever had. I had the chance to experience what a career was like, I was able to bond with one of the recruiters I spent the morning with, and I had the opportunity to share with others what M&A’s mission is all about. It was such a great experience, and I am so thankful that my team allowed me to attend and represent the company!

So, this year when I am asked what I am thankful for, you better believe that M&A has made my list. A great team surrounds me, I have learned so much and I am gaining real-world experiences I never thought I would have. This internship is truly amazing and I am extremely thankful.

Happy Holidays!
