Graduation in GIFs

May is the month of graduation! Students will proudly don their caps and gowns while hoping they don’t trip on the stage. Here’s a collection of GIFs to help prepare you for that special day.

The pride of completing your degree

The satisfaction of completing your degree is hard to beat. You’ve spent years attending classes, studying, working on projects and stressing over exams. Now, you’re hard work is being rewarded by a diploma. You should feel proud of yourself, graduating is a major accomplishment. As Kelly from The Office would say, “You’re, like, really smart now.”

Thinking about continuing your education?

never

This is a question you’re going to hear a lot when you graduate. “What is your next step?” “Are you considering graduate school?” It can be a difficult decision. You should weigh your options and decide what is best for you. If you’re like Billy Madison and never want to sit in a classroom again, that’s completely understandable.

The question you may be asking yourself:

now what

The ultimate goal for students is to have a job after graduation. Some students are offered a full-time position at their internship (if this applies to you we would love to hear your story). Others might be wondering “Now what?” If you haven’t decided what you want to do, consider applying for an internship. You can narrow down or confirm what your interests are. Internships can be beneficial if you know what you want to do, but don’t have the required level of experience.

The fun part about your graduation attire: decorating your cap!

If you’re a fan of Pinterest, there are hundreds of ideas for decorating your graduation cap. This is a great way to express yourself and show off your talents. You can add a favorite quote, symbol from your sorority/fraternity, school logo or whatever your heart desires. If you’re lacking creativity, there are kits available for purchase or you can go with the traditional plain cap.

Worrying about embarrassing yourself during the ceremony

embarrasssing

Tripping is the biggest embarrassment students are concerned about during the ceremony. The pressure of everyone’s eyes on you can be stressful. Just remember to put one foot in front of the other and you should be fine. As for other possible embarrassment, just be aware of yourself and your surroundings. Also, learn from this happy graduate that adding tricks to your exit can have bad results.

Be proud of yourself and your fellow classmates

we did it

This is such a major accomplishment, and you should be proud. You’ve made it through the late-night study sessions, long lectures, in-depth term papers, group projects and difficult exams. Whatever your next step is, be sure to congratulate yourself on completing this achievement. Elle Woods from Legally Blonde said, “It is with passion, courage of conviction, and strong sense of self that we take our next steps into the world, remembering that first impressions are not always correct. You must always have faith in people. And most importantly, you must always have faith in yourself.”

Finally, throw your caps in air (like you just don’t care)

Once the ceremony ends, go celebrate your success! You worked hard and earned this accomplishment.

Congratulations!
