Research Intern
Description
We have an opening for a Research and Data Analyst Intern (Intern). The Intern must be a team player, proactive worker and staff supporter. The ideal candidate is interested in research and data analysis as it relates to attracting businesses to our 11-county region. The intern must have a High School Diploma and be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field. The candidate should be detail-oriented, enjoy a challenge, be comfortable with tight schedules and have a solid grasp on multi-tasking.
Responsibilities
Conduct research on prospective companies and leads to build out profiles in the organization’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system while cleaning up and verifying system data.
Conduct data pulls and scrubs from the Partnership’s subscribed databases.
Run interactive business climate and operating cost comparison system, incentive calculator, and economic and fiscal impact models.
Research and analyze data on the region’s target industries.
Develop positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
Prepare presentation materials using documents, power point and excel spreadsheets.
Prepare reports with displayed results, statistics and conclusions to an audience in a transparent and straightforward way.
Conduct prospecting research to support with NEI investment campaign.
Collect data on subset of current stakeholders for investment purposes.
Assist Regional Initiatives team with research for Regional Opportunities Council projects.
Qualifications
Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree, or higher
Ability to handle confidential matters and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Skilled in fundamental Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
Preferred previous experience in research and analyzing data.
Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Creative thinker, from concept creation to implementation.
Interested in developing interpersonal, networking and team skills.
