Description
- Interns will collaborate with experienced teachers, teacher assistants, and other staff members. These connections provide valuable insights and mentorship.
- Communicating with parents during drop-off, pick-up, and parent-teacher conferences fosters relationships. Interns can learn from parents’ perspectives.
Responsibilities
-
Tasks:
· Assimilate arriving children to the school environment by greeting them at the door, helping them remove outerwear, and saying good-bye to their family member.
· Attends to children’s needs such as feeding, diaper changing, toilet training, and dressing them when needed.
· Observe and evaluate children’s behavior, social-emotional development, physical health and development, and cognitive development.
· Organize and lead activities that are designed to promote physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development.
· Provide a variety of material and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use in both learning and imaginative play.
· Help children to learn and follow a schedule/routine along with rules that keep them and their peers safe.
· Serve meals and snacks that follow recommended nutritional guidelines.
· Help children learn basic skills such as proper eating habits, personal hygiene, and social interactions.
· Help children learn colors, shapes, verbal numbers and letters, as well as written number and letter recognition.
Qualifications

Qualifications and requirements
- Training in vocational schools, or a college degree.
- Ability to select and use training or instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
- Ability to help others how to do something, and to give full attention to what other people are saying.
