Machinist Intern

Description

Interns will learn the fundamentals of Machining during their first year internship. 

Topics Covered will include:

-Intro to Blueprint Reading

-Intro to GD&T

-Use of gauges, calipers, and quality measuring equipment

-How to set up a CNC machine

-How to run a CNC machine

-Troubleshooting skills

-Intro to assembly of avionic instrument cases

Responsibilities

The interns will be focused on the fundamentals that would help them not just at MSP but at a plethora of technical jobs in manufacturing. Within the first year we look to have all interns to have basic experience in blueprint reading and an understanding of how a CNC machine works. If there are other areas of interest to the specific intern we can cater some of the instruction in that area.
