This position is 40 hours per week and pays $15.30 per hour. Review of applications will begin March 16th and continue until the position is filled.

Responsibilities

Once here you will:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of an employee engagement initiative.
  • Help plan and host recruitment activities in the community.
  • Work on a migration project with the library's internal website while keeping library staff involved and informed.
  • Learn about and perform document retention tasks and recommend process improvements.
  • Provide administration support to other members of the HR department, referring more complex issues to the relevant staff.
  • Support department staff in daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Valid drivers license
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Some education in human resources or business administration.
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret data
  • Comfortable using Internet, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Windows and Mac OS
  • Community-minded and service oriented
  • Exercise initiative, be enthusiastic, creative, flexible, energetic, value diversity, and possess a sense of humor
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
